Canada 17 - United States 15

The WFDF 2008 World Ultimate Championships were held in Vancouver this year at UBC. Tracy and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go watch the best of the best battle it out at ultimate frisbee. We went to see the championship game for the open division. The game was a very tight match between the American team and their Canadian rivals.

Canada started the game out ahead and fought the entire time to maintain their lead. Toward the later part of the second half, the US started coming back, but it wasn't enough. In the end, Canada won by being the first to reach 17 points with the US team close behind with 15 points.

All and all, it was a great game and was really fun to watch the sport played at such a highly competitive level (slightly more intense than the games we typically play).

Most of the crowd was obviously rooting for the Canadian team, so it was fun to be there to help cheer on the US guys.
