We went to a real "fancy" place and had to pay $13.00 for this picture. To give you an idea of how "fancy" this place really was, they also did one hour photo development and sold novelty t-shirts and we're pretty sure English was not their first language.
When we got there the lady informed us that her pink shirt was far to light and proceeded to drape her with an ugly green scarf that they had laying around. She also needed to have her eyes open so that meant a diaper change and some poking and prodding. I had to hold her on my lap and keep her head from bobbling all over while draped with a white sheet not able to use my hands, tricky. Oh ya, and NO smiling! (that was not a problem, she was only one week old.) Needless to say it is the most hideous picture of our little Paige ever!
Now doing the US side of things... We are allowed to take our own picture and the information to do so also states "unlike Canadian Passports, it is OK to smile" So we had lots of fun snapping a bunch of pictures. No shirt color requirements either. In the end I don't have to tell you who takes a better picture, the "professional" or the parents. I will let the photos speak for themselves.
