To start off, I kept telling myself long before I was actually due to be ready to go over and be induced again. But as the due date got close there was a big part of me that was hopeful I would go into labor naturally and would not have to deal with a second induced labor. However, in true Baby Palmer fashion, Audrey was nice and cozy and did not want to come out.
So, we were scheduled for induction Monday, May 9th at 7:15PM. I was told to call an hour before to be sure they had room for me. Well, they finally let me come in at 11PM after some rooms had opened up. I was just relieved to get things started.

After getting checked in and settled in our room, I got my first round of medication about midnight. (A pill put next to the cervix to soften it...) By 7:30AM I was getting my 3rd dose of the stuff and not feeling anything. The plan was to start petocin later in the afternoon to really get things going.
Then at 8AM I was starting to have contractions and by 9:30AM my water broke and we were in very active labor. The doctors were hopeful that we would not have to use any petocin. Twice my contractions got a bit out of control, with no breaks in between and they have to give me a shot of something to slow things down. I ended up getting an epidural and was feeling more comfortable by noon. In the end, they gave me some petocin to try to move things along. Well that's what it did alright.

At about 1:45 I was starting to feel some serious pressure. They checked me and called my doctor to the hospital right away. It was all I could do to hold back the urge to push.

Once the doctor arrived, I pushed 3 or 4 times and out came Audrey at 2:21PM. We were all very happy to finally meet her. All in all I would have to say it was an easier labor/delivery then Paige was-- much shorter as well. We are now blessed with another beautiful baby girl. Which makes Paige seem all the more grown up.

Love this post! Plus the fact that little Audrey is here to hold and love! Hope you four are having a nice weekend!
Wow, that second close-up of Audrey looks JUST like Paige! I think her hair looks more blonde/less red than Paige's though. ;) Congratulations!
