Paige did the 50m hurdles, shot put, mini-javelin, and ran the 50m and 100m "dashes". Well, technically she earned a "did not finish" in the 50m dash as you can see below:

Ready to start!

Or not...
A bunch of friends from Alan's work brought their kids out as well so we had plenty of people to cheer for. Sometimes I think Paige enjoyed cheering for the other kids more than she liked running the races herself.

Cheering on Jonas as he runs the 50m dash.
Paige especially liked the mini-javelin despite throwing it with two hands and earning about 14" for her toss. She got to pick her own color of javelin! ;)

We had a great time and plan to go back out whenever we have a nice sunny Monday evening!

Waiting our turn to throw the shotput.

Dad provides moral support for the 100m dash after what happened with the 50. She was only half way done with the 100 when the last of her heat finished, but she finished and earned a green ribbon! We were proud of her. I think that's the longest she's ever run in her life.

Somtimes we weren't sure if Paige was enjoying herself because she was so serious, but I think she gets that from her dad.
Cheering on our friends!

That's a really nice idea, so cute! While I was reading the blog, I had terrible images of children with pointy sticks, so glad you posted pictures of the actual javelin. Also nice that you got to dust off your camera gear.
Great pics! Paige is so serious, so focused!
This is too cute. I'll have to see if we have something like this down here.
Very cute! But where's Audrey? :)
Tracy is working on an Audrey post. We have some 1 month photos that Tracy took we want to post. Stay tuned ;-)
What a fun opportunity! Paige is such a cutie!
