Downtown For The Olympics

I have been meaning to post about this... We did not go to any events in person, but I did go downtown to see the flame and just get the feel of the Olympic spirit. I was crazy to see the usually packed (with cars) streets of downtown Vancouver packed with people. Many of the streets were closed to driving. Foot traffic only. It was nuts.

There was a zip line going over a courtyard with an ice rink. Which I heard there was an 8 hour line to get on at times. No thanks! The zip line was going over this area. The ice rink is below street level... In the second picture you can see two people on the line. (middle of picture)

Of course the Olympic Flame. Very cool. And yes, Paige is wearing a Canadian hat. I would have worn a USA hat if I had one! :)
